• 1916 - Sixth Avenue School for Black Children opened
• 1933 - Hendersonville Grammar School renamed Rosa Edwards School
• 1951 - New Ninth Avenue School For Black Children opened
• 1958 - Initial Construction of Bruce Drysdale Elementary
• 1960 - Bruce Drysdale Elementary opened
• 1992 - Renovation
