• 1870 - School on Gap Creek Road (Bobs Creek) and school named Double Springs opened in Green River
• 1876 - Adams Run School opened in Big Hungry
• 1905 - One-room schoolhouse in Upward opened
• 1915 - Flat Rock Graded School offers high school courses
• 1960 - East Henderson High opened (upon consolidation with Dana High School and Flat Rock High School)
